VLF-AC Hipot Testers- GDVLF series


 General Information

VLF means ‘Very Low Frequency’ and 0.1Hz to 0.02Hz is considered to be very low frequency,used as a AC output tester. Although the frequency is very low, it is still an alternating current with polarity reversals every half cycle. At 0.1 Hz output, rather than 60Hz, it takes 600 times less current and power to apply an AC voltage to a capacitive load, like a long cable.

 

The GDVLF Series of VLF-AC hipots apply the device with a microprocessor controlled, which will control voltage automatic,and can also be adjusted for manual when in the process of automatic voltage boost . Our advanced electronic design provides you with the most portable, to use VLF hipots available. An big LCD screen and onscreen instruction system can display output Sinusoidal , and the in-built thermal printer willprint the test report, make the test process is easy to operate.

 

Features

  • If the output voltage exceeds the limit users set , the instrument is supposed to shut-down itself, react within 20ms;
  • The high-low voltage dual protection exsit in the design, so automatic protection can be made according to the set limit of low and high voltage;
  • If the current on low voltage side exceeds the load current, the instrument is supposed to shut-down itself, react within 20ms;
  • In-built a protective resistor, no need additional resistor connected outside;
  • No capacitive rise effect in output , using negative voltage feedback circuit-closing control;
  • A high voltage output protective resistor is provided in the voltage boost body in the design and this eliminates the need of additional protective resistor connected outside;
  • The equipment can make it a whole according to customer needs

Note: It is essential that should not exceed the rated capacity . When Capacitance of tested object less than 0.05 uF, will affect waveform outputtherefore, can opt for one or two 0.1 uF capacitor provided by the company to added capacitor.
