What can AC resonance do?

 

AC resonant test system is designed for AC withstand voltage test of 6kV-500kV electrical transformer, substation capacitive equipment (such as GIS, switch, busbar, bushing, CT/PT), 6kV-220kV high voltage cable, motor/generator(input voltage is 20kv or below), as well as the calibration test of CVT boosting (with voltage level 35kV66kV110kV220kV330kV500kV)

Meet testing requirements of large capacity test objects;

Its volume and weight are smaller than power frequency withstand voltage, easy to be carried;

AC resonant test system  VS  VLF AC hipot test set

VLF is mainly specific to 10kv/35kv cables, while AC resonant is suitable for 10/35/110/220kV cables, main transformer, generator, CVT, switch and so on.

DC hipot test set: direct current is input; AC resonant test system: alternating current is input.

 

 

How to choose suitable AC resonant test system?

 

The following technical parameters should be provided for the choice of suitable AC resonant test system:

 

 

Electrical transformer: voltage level (for example:10/35/110/220kV); Max capacity; testing property ( neutral point withstand voltage or full insulation withstand voltage); single phase ground capacitance;

 

Electrical cable: voltage level (for example, 10/35/110kV) ; Max. Length; section surface;

 

Generator, motor: voltage level (output voltage or called working voltage); testing voltage (the highest withstand voltage value); single phase ground capacitance range (for example,0.2-0.55uF etc. )

 

GIS: voltage level (or called working voltage); testing voltage (the highest withstand voltage value); interval number;

 

Switch, insulator, PT, CT, insulation test set, busbar : voltage level (or called working voltage); testing voltage (the highest withstand voltage value);

 

CVT calibration: voltage level (or called working current, such as 35/110/220kv);testing voltage (the highest withstand voltage value); capacitance range (for example, 0.005-0.02uF etc.)
